Beachin’

Everyone loves a vacation. Vacations, whether someplace tropical, exotic, or even a staycation; they are good for the mind, body and soul.

I’m on vacation until May 20th and I am so glad! I have been constantly working and on the go, this vacation was very needed.

Sunrise walk this a.m.

I’m vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC currently (so any restaurants/things to do, comment and let me know!)

I arrived yesterday early afternoon to a cloudy, gloomy rainy day. Honestly it was perfect weather to head to the store to grab groceries for the week

Staying in a condo that is right on the beach 😍 so headed to Costco and Kroger yesterday to pick up food for breakfast, lunch and a few dinners for the week.

Went out to a late lunch at Finn McCool’s. Food was great! Atmosphere was great as well (it reminded me of a local place not to many tourists know of). I love eating at local, non-chain restaurants while on vacation. I mean we go on vacation to experience and dine at places we do not have at home, right?

It’s day 2 here at the beach and it was a cool, windy morning. It was 50°F this morning when I went on a sunrise walk with my mother and sister.

The sand was still stiff and cold from the night before, and there were a ton of seashells and a few jellyfish as well, washed upon the shore.

Top of the jellyfish

We walked about 2.22 miles total for our first day. Boy we’re my toes cold! However, with the sun rising the air was starting to warm up.

No plans as of now on what we are doing today but whatever we decide to do, you all will know in the near future.

Another jellyfish upon the shore

As I bid you all ado, I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes.

“There’s a sunrise and sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.” – Jo Walton
