Hello everyone! Me again…late lol 😂

I just wanted to give you all a wedding update! So two weekends ago I ventured home to Toledo to meet up with 3 of my 5 bridesmaids to look at dresses for them!

Now I don’t want to sound like I don’t care what style they wear for my wedding; I mean I do to some extent; however, it ultimately was up to them and what they all agreed made them feel & look good in.

If you’ve ever been a bride or a bridesmaid you know how expensive dresses can be. Well, I’m here to tell you a way that can save you (if you’re buying you’re bridesmaid dresses) or your bridesmaids (if they are buying their own) some money!

My bridesmaids and I went to two (2) different boutiques to look at dresses for them. I let my girls know that I didn’t mind what they wore, except it had to follow these rules: • could NOT be strapless (no one like having to constantly pull up their dress) • had to be full length Those were my only two (2) requests for their dresses.

Our first stop was Atlas. The girls, Megan, Taylor & Aubree, all tried on about 5-8 different dresses. We liked some, loved some and disliked a couple. Some of the ones we all agreed on were these:

Thanks Megan & Aubree for being models 😀

The girls & I liked them all; however, the girls really liked the one shoulder dress! The one shoulder dress also had pockets, so that was a plus!! The price however, was not – but I’ll get into that later.

***NOTE: my color for the bridesmaids is Cabernet***

We still had one more boutique to stop and look at dresses at so we didn’t want to make a final decision yet.

Our next stop was Davids Bridal. The girls looked at all the dresses and picked out ones they liked to try on. They again, tried on about 5-8 dresses altogether.

Again it came down to one dress in particular, a one shoulder. This one shoulder dress did not have pockets though; although, the one shoulder strap was more petite and thin (see photo).

Thanks Aubree for modeling again 🙂

Next it was my turn to decide which dress I liked better. I chose the dress from Davids Bridal. I thought that the look fit my vision for my wedding.

Now, how do you save your bridesmaids money on buying their dresses?

Well if you’re like me and try to find a dress that is something your girls could wear again and reasonably priced, then good luck! It’s not easy, trust me! However, when I was trying on dresses for myself, the owner of the boutique I was at told my mother and I of a website called Azazie. Never heard of it? Yeah, me neither until she told us about it.

Azazie has bridesmaid, mother of the bride, flower girls, and much more to offer. What’s great about Azazie is not only can they send you a dress you like to try on for $10 and paid shipping to send back, custom make the dress to your measurements, but also the price of their dresses!

I told my girls if they could find the dress we all agreed on on that website cheaper, let’s go that route. My MOH found a dress similar on the Azazie website for $89. That is compared to $160 at Davids Bridal (and $180 for the one shoulder at Atlas).

Now don’t get me wrong, the pricing for the two dresses at Atlas & Davids are not bad; however, I’m trying to keep this as inexpensive for my girls as possible. I’ve been a bridesmaid & MOH before, so I know how much things can add up too.

For reference this is a side-by-side of the dress we all loved at Davids compared to the one my MOH found on Azazie:

Thanks once again to Aubs for modeling 🙂

The dresses are very similar! The belt on the dress on the right is removable, so the girls will not be wearing that.

After tax and shipping the girls will be paying approximately $100 for their dresses that will be fitted to their measurements. Talk about savings!

Azazie has lots of colors and styles to choose from and their dress prices vary. If you are looking to save some bucks (heck my girls are saving $60-$80) then check out Azazie.com.

I hope this blog post has been helpful to those that are planning a wedding, are a MOH, or a bridesmaid!

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you all soon 🙂
